We are currently developing the last six holes of our course to make it the full 18.
New Course Map
A Brief Explanation
We plan to bring the level of the 1st green down by about 2m and level out the left to right slope that causes us grief on the approach.
The existing Summer 2nd green will be moved to the left and back about 30m to make a more challenging Par 3 2nd hole.
The old 2nd or summer 3rd will make the new 3rd.
And the old 3rd or summer 4th will make the new 4th.
The summer 5th will become the new 5th hole.
This is a completely new hole – a long par 4, about 340m, along a ridge with dangerous ground left and right in the form of steep slopes and a couple of tricky bottle-necks in the fairway. Spectacular views await you when you get to the green.
Another new hole. A good tee shot will be needed here to carry the dead ground and reach the fairway but don’t worry, there will be a drop zone on the other side for anyone who doesn’t.
This hole is what used to be the Winter 6th, but the tee will be moved a little further back and onto the side of the hill to the left of the existing tee.
The old Par 3 7th will stay the same and become the new 9th.
The green for the old Par 5 will be moved back round the corner to the left where it once was, but the level is to be brought down so no more slogging up that hill to the green.
The old 8th green is to be used for the 11th par 3. This hole was once used in the past but we will be putting the tee in a much more suitable position this time. Round the side of the hill rather than up on top of it. This will be a very sweet Par 3 at about 125m.
The first of a series of 4 new holes right over the other side of the hill from the existing holes. Making a tee shot from this tee is going to feel like you’re whacking a ball off the top of a sky scraper into the abyss- when you get it right though you’ll think you’ve driven the ball over 400 meters! There’s a double dog leg on this Par 5 to make life difficult for you just in case you didn’t find the tee shot challenging enough.
A little 80m Par 3.
Possibly the new signature hole of our course, this 320m Par 4 calls for a tee shot up a natural little valley towards a green nestling behind a great big pine tree to the right.
Another Par 4 running parallel to the practice ground to a green under what is now the 9th tee.
The existing 9th hole will become the 16th and stay pretty much as it is.
The existing 5th will become the 17th.
And finally the existing 6th will bring you back up to the green right under the club house as the new 18th.
The current 18th will be the new practice putting green.
